On the 26th September, we welcomed Suzie Mahony to our school. For 2 and a half classes in the afternoon, Suzie taught us the art of millinery or hat making. We learned how to thread our needles and she allowed us to choose the materials that we wished to use. After we had our hats made, we helped Suzie gather all the scraps of material on the floors and put them in plastic bags.
My hat consists of a purple base with a large white flower surrounded by small blue and pink flowers. The Breast Cancer Awareness symbol is also on my hat.
Overall I found Suzie's millinery workshop very enjoyable and interesting. I wish her luck in the future and hope that she comes back to us soon.
