Some of us also faced our fears head on. This all happened at Delphi Adventure Centre in Connemara. On the first day at Delphi, we did the high ropes. I found it a bit scary at first as I have a fear of heights. However after some coaxing from the supervisors there, I gave it a go and quite enjoyed the adrenaline rush. I believe doing this exercise benefited me as I'm not as scared as Iwas. After dinner, we went for a short walk into the forest located just down the track from Delphi Adventure Centre. We explored some man-made tunnels and did different activities to test our teamwork skills. On the second day, we did our Gaisce walk in the mountains. We also took notes. In Science, I had to find a new project to do as my group decided they didn't want to take part in the BT Young Scientist. She did this to prove to her family that she wasn't just a mother and a wife. In doing this, her husband came to the realization that he wasn't helping out around the house enough and wasn't spending much time with his children as much as he should. Clare spent 32 days in the tree, thinking that she had beaten the world record of 31 days. However the world record turned out to be 31 years not 31 days.
